Mottisfont Abbey

Mottisfont Abbey

Highly recommended to visit in June due to the tremendous rose garden being in full bloom, visitors can absorb the sight and scent of over 500 beautiful roses with the fantastic back drop of the 18th century country house.

Mottisfont Abbey is an 18th-century country estate in Hampshire where you will find ancient trees, winding paths, bubbling brooks and a stunning rose garden which should be in full bloom.  Visit the extraodinary drawing room painted by Rex Whistler and enjoy the house's artistic traditions eith the permanant 20th-century art collection and special exhibitions to see on the top floor.

If you feel a bit peckish you can treat yourself to a lunch or tea in the restaurant, and seek out some gifts in the well stocked gift shop.
